Sportsmanship Award

This award has been awarded by Mr P Vidler and his family to promote a friendly atmosphere during matches between teams that play within the league, also to develop & encourage all members of the league to demonstrate sportsman like qualities.

This trophy will be presented on presentation night and will be voted for by each team (1 vote per team) and in the event of a tie the League Chairman will have the casting vote.

The winner for this season was Darren Beswick, the captain of Mosley B. He has been in the league for many years winning many team, individual, and double awards. He is well respected by all in the league and currently has the best handicap in the billiards seen in the league since Frank Mithcheson.

The winner for this season was Roy Nelson, the captain of St Georges B. He received his award during the presentation night trophy awards held in May at Park Bridge Institute.

Roy has only been a team captain for the past 2 years and has won individual as well as team awards during his time in the league.

The inaugural award was decided by the various team captains and this years winner is Chris Edwards from Mossley B. Chris has steadily improved both his snooker and billiard game since he joined the league and is a deserving winner of this trophy.
